Penny and Alan would like to wish all our customers (past, present and future) and all our suppliers a very happy and prosperous 2008.

This is a very brief newsletter this month – to enable us all to catch our breath after what proved to be a very busy Christmas period!

Our shop will be closed for a week while we take what we believe to be a well earned short holiday! We shall be closed from Monday 7th January and we shall re-open on Tuesday 15th January at 10.00. We look forward to seeing you all then!

WINE TASTINGS

We have our first two tasting evenings lined up for the New Year so we suggest that you make a note in your 2008 diary to come along to the shop and help us to liven up the long winter evenings! The dates booked are the Fridays of 15th February and 4th April 2008.

The first evening will feature wines from Italy, Spain and Portugal whilst the April evening will feature wines from the New World, in particular some high quality, excellent value for money wines from Chile. Further details will follow later.

For each of these events tickets will be £10 and this will be deducted from the cost of any of the tasted wines purchased on the night with a minimum order value of £50. Given the success of our tasting evenings, all of which to date have been sold out, demand for tickets is expected to be high, so please book early!

Tickets will be available from the shop from 15th January.
